About the Food
What makes this 'gourmet'?
Our biryanis are made with nearly two dozen ingredients and a complex, authentic multi-step cooking process called ‘dum’—a method most biryanis here skip (more on that in Our Cuisine). Also, we use real saffron in our biriyanis, which is among the most expensive of cooking ingredients!
Our bowls are on the other end of the complexity spectrum. Instead of using many ingredients we focus on few carefully selected ingredients, artfully balanced with some carb (if you choose) and crunchy veggies, to bring out the simplicity and wholesomeness of a rich yet somewhat underexplored (or stereotyped) cuisine. Still gourmet!
What makes this wholesome?
Well, many things! For one, our cuisine is rice-dominant, so most gluten-free lovers will find it very satisfying. Second, we focus on using authentic ingredients and spices, some of which are never found in Indian stores or restaurants. Third, the subtle use of ghee, packed with nutrients. Finally, even with plenty of spices, our food isn’t necessarily spicy— it’s all about proportion and balance, creating a sense of wholesomeness and fulfillment.
Is this for me?
This is ideal for the busy food connoisseurs who want an authentic, flavorful meal without the hassle of making them.
Made in small batches, our Indian-inspired dishes are packed with international flavors, mostly gluten-free, and made with premium ingredients like saffron and ghee— no shortcuts, everything from scratch.
Sealed for freshness, just heat and enjoy gourmet goodness straight from the box. A 4 pack is great for a few lunches at office, dinner at home or as a heavy mid-day treat - freshness guaranteed for 5 days!

Ordering & Delivery

Meals are made fresh, chilled below 41°F, and delivered cold. They stay fresh for 5 days in the fridge. You can freeze them, but rice and potatoes may lose texture.
How does delivery work?
We deliver twice a week—Wednesday & Friday, 5–7 PM. No need to be home! We’ll leave your order in a temperature-controlled bag at your door. Just refrigerate upon arrival. We also have pickup options.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
Nope! Your food stays cold in the delivery bag. Just grab it as soon as you can and pop it in the fridge.
Do you deliver to my zip code?
We’re Boulder-based and only deliver within Colorado. Check availability on our website.
What’s the minimum order?
4 packs per order. Anything less isn’t cost-effective for a small batch operation like ours, but you can find single packs of a limited variety of our full range at local stores like Lucky’s Market (North Boulder), Sun Market (Denver), Nude Foods, The Niwot Market, Pinemelon (online), Neptune Cafe (South Boulder), Violet Peak Cafes (CU Campus), Clark's Market (Denver and beyond), Longmont and Boulder Farmers' Market and many more. Email us to check if we’re in your area!
Storage & Policies
How do I store and reheat?
- Keep meals refrigerated (good for 5 days).
- If freezing, thaw for 24 hours before reheating.
- Remove from tamper-safe packaging, transfer to a microwave-safe container, and heat until piping hot (about 3 minutes).
Returns & refunds?
We can’t take returns, but if you’re not happy, we’ll refund your order—no hassle. Email hungryforhundys@gmail.com within 5–7 days, and we’ll make it right.
